Two people were killed and three others were injured in separate road accidents in the city on Sunday.
A man riding a motorcycle was killed when a speeding car rammed into him near Steel Mill Mor at the National Highway.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities, where he was identified as Waseem, 38.
Separately, a speeding car got out of the driver’s control and he crashed it into an electric pole near Karachi Airport, leaving four people injured.
According to ASI Ghaffar, three injured were shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital in an ambulance, while one of them succumbed to his injuries before reaching the medical facility. He added that one injured person was rushed to JPMC in a police mobile van. The deceased was identified as Yasir Hussain, 25, and the injured were identified as Asad, 24, and Faisal, 30. The identity of one injured could not be ascertained immediately.
