Two bike lifters caught

They are believed to be involved in lifting motorbikes and trading in narcotics

ISLAMABAD:

The Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of the Islamabad Police on Wednesday said that it has arrested two suspected gangsters who were allegedly involved in stealing motorbikes and drug peddling.

A police spokesperson said that as part of a crackdown against criminal elements, SP investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted a special team under the supervision of CIA DSP Hakim Khan. The team apprehend two men, identified as Babar Khan and Waheed Khan.

They are believed to be involved in lifting motorbikes and trading in narcotics. Police also claimed to have recovered stolen motorbikes, heroin and weapons from their possession.

During preliminary investigations, they allegedly confessed to bike lifting and drug peddling activities in various areas of the city.

Cases were registered against them while further investigations are underway.
