One of the most affected countries by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has been India. The country's total number of cases has surpassed 10 million. The lockdown situation in India is said to be revised as the Maharashtra government has issued new regulations regarding the night curfew in the state, reported Pinkvilla.
This, however, has resulted in a problem for a few celebrities when a raid was conducted by the Mumbai Police at a local club in Mumbai. It was earlier reported that they also arrested 34 people including a few celebs, managers, and the hotel staff present at the place during that time. They were accused and booked for violating Covid-19 norms.
Rumour had it that Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan's ex-wife Sussanne Khan's name also surfaced in this regard and reports stated that she was among the other celebrities including Guru Randhawa and Suresh Raina who were arrested from the place. Now, the former wife of the Indian star has issued a clarification in this regard.
Taking to Instagram, Sussanne wrote, "A humble clarification: Last night I was at a close friend's birthday dinner & a few of us extended to the DragonFly Club at JW Marriott, Sahar. At 2.30 am the authorities entered the club. Whilst the club management and authorities were sorting things out, all the guests present were asked to wait for a period of three hours. We were finally allowed to leave at 6 am. Therefore, the speculations by parts of the media that there were arrests made are completely incorrect and also irresponsible."
Sussanne's statement comes a few hours after Guru Randhawa also issued a clarification about getting booked for violating norms during the club raid in Mumbai. The singer stated that he deeply regrets the unintentional incident that occurred a night earlier.
