Hrithik Roshan praises Dimple Kapadia in ‘Tenet’

Actor in awe of veteran actor’s performance

After enticing the viewers with her engaging performances in Bollywood films, Dimple Kapadia recently took Hollywood by storm by appearing in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. While the film got a lukewarm reception at the box office, everyone – in Hollywood and Bollywood alike – has been praising the veteran actor’s performance in it.

 

Even celebrities cannot help but be in awe. The latest celebrity to laud Kapadia is Hrithik Roshan. He said it is one of the best performances by an Indian actor in an international film.

 

Taking to his Instagram story, Roshan shared a picture of Kapadia from Tenet and wrote, “Hers is unmistakably one of the best performances by an Indian actor in an international film. Just brilliant! The charm, the power, the poise the seductive eyes… Dimple aunty, you are something else! Go see Tenet for her.”

 

Earlier, other celebrities including Sonam Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Dia Mirza and Richa Chadha complimented the performance too.

In an exclusive with Hindustan Times, Kapadia revealed that when she read the film’s script, she couldn’t “fathom” what Nolan was trying to say with it. “I was locked up in my vanity van for four hours; it took me that much time to read. When I read the first 20-30 pages, I didn’t know what I was reading. I’m an avid reader but I just couldn’t fathom where I was," she said. "Even after finishing it, I got the gist of it but still couldn’t fathom what he was trying to exactly say. So I was really looking forward to seeing how he’s going to translate it all into cinema as that would be the exciting part of it.”

Tenet also featured John David Washington, Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki as the lead protagonists.
