The private sector should encourage gender parity in their respective units to overcome the shortage of skilled manpower in the country, said Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) President Engineer Hafiz Ihtasham Javed. Speaking to Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) former president Lubna Bhayat, he said despite coronavirus, Pakistan was lucky to have maximum export orders, which geared up the industrial production enhancing workers demand manifold. He appreciated the efforts of Bhayat for launching a dedicated women portal in addition to introducing 98 training courses for females. In this connection, sufficient skilled human resources were being injected in the job market. He said the FCCI would arrange seminars and B2B meetings with Faisalabad based workers through Bhayat’s portal. He also stressed the need for enhancing employer’s confidence in female workers who could do specific jobs with more finesse as compared to male workers.
