Addict allegedly slits sister’s throat

Police have started further investigation against the suspect

A drug addict on Sunday allegedly slit her sister’s throat when she refused to give him money to buy drugs.

The Secretariat police have arrested the suspect who is the son of a WAPDA SDO and the only brother of four sisters. The victim, Uzma Mir, was a teacher at Roots School System. Her father, Muhammad Mir, was visiting his village Mandi Bahauddin to appear in a case hearing. Secretariat police station SHO Haider Ali told The Express Tribune that they have arrested the suspect.

The alleged killer has confessed to killing his sister on refusal to give him money to buy drugs. Haider Ali, quoting the suspect and family sources said the suspect was a drug addict. He had asked Uzma to give him money allegedly to buy drugs. However, the sister refused.

At this, the suspect got infuriated and brought a knife from the kitchen from which he slit the throat of his sister. Police have started further investigation against the suspect.
