PESHAWAR:

A security guard was attacked and injured in a station of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) when he asked two youngsters to wear masks and follow other Covid-19 SOPs before entering the station.

A video appeared on social media in which a guard could be seen being attacked at Tehkal BRT station. In the video footage a boy was asked by the guard to wear mask but he instead started a scuffle with the guard, torturing him and leaving him seriously injured instead.

The spokesperson for BRT told the Express Tribune that their guard was attacked and injured when he asked two boys to observe SPOs before entering.

The spokesperson rejected the notion that BRT security guard had initiated the scuffles.

He said that their staff fully cooperates with the passengers and in the event of any mishap general public could file a complaint against the staff with the high ups. On the other hand Tehkal police has taken action after the video of the attack and scuffle went viral and arrested two accused.
