Woman held for torturing son to death
A six-year-old boy was allegedly tortured to death by his mother in the Mira Abadi area on Saturday. The police arrested the suspect after registering a case against her.
The Ramna police said Muzammil Abbas was adopted by his uncle at the time of his birth as he had no children.
However, after five years, the child’s biological mother, Naseem Bibi, filed for custody to retrieve her son from his uncle.
The court decided the case in favour of the mother and the minor was handed over to Naseem. However, Abbas was reluctant to live with his mother as she torture him daily and he succumbed to the repeated assaults.
