Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Sunday announced to set up PCR laboratories in nine districts of Balochistan in light of the second coronavirus wave.
“The newly formed labs will be able to perform all the necessary tests related to coronavirus,” he said. “DHQs of 11 districts including DHQ Killa Abdullah, Sibi, Naseerabad, Kalat, Nushki, Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital Hub and Panjgur have been given the status of teaching hospitals whereas Rs50 million has been allocated for this purpose.” The provincial chief executive also said, recruitment is being carried out in the health department to meet the shortage of manpower which will reduce the unemployment rate also.
He commended the performance and dedication of the medical and paramedical staff of Fatima Jinnah General and Chest Hospital working to serve humanity.
"The government is taking effective steps to promote health, education and tourism in the largest province of the country," CM Kamal added.
The Balochistan chief minister highlighted how the provincial government is creating awareness about the newly set up PCR laboratories in the province.
"Testing of coronavirus in the province will be expanded to every corner of the province and people will be urged to get themselves tested,” he said. "In this regard, procurement committees have also been formed at the divisional level.”
The CM maintained that recruitment in the health sector will be useful in eradicating unemployment in the province apart from providing facilities to the people.
