Overnight bloodshed in Karachi claims 7 lives

KARACHI: Overnight bloodshed in Karachi claimed seven lives in the business metropolis, Express 24/7 reported on Monday.

Seven people were gunned down in separate shooting incidents in Liaqatabad, Delhi Colony, Haji Camp, Hub checkpoint and near the Radio Pakistan building.

Police and Rangers have arrested 25 people on suspicion in a joint search operation in Gulistan-e-Johar.

The operation was carried out on the directions of Interior Minister Rehman Malik who also took Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party (ANP) leaders into confidence over the operation.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul-Ibad has left for London to meet the MQM leadership and brief them on the situation in Sindh.

@tanvir akhtar: Marna hai kya bhai, everyone knows who hijacked the city and still destroying peace since 1980s. That has problem with everyone at any where. Who resists is blamed as terrorist.
