RAWALPINDI:

The Gujjar Khan police on Sunday registered a triple murder and suicide attempt case against a woman who had thrown her three daughters and herself into a well after a domestic brawl with her husband on Saturday.

All three minors had died while the mother, Sonia, survived and was rescued.

Sonia’s husband Gulfaraz Ahmed during questioning at the Gujjar Khan precincts recorded his statement before the police on Sunday. Ahmed said that he had received a call from his brother Kamran Shaukat on Saturday who asked him to rush home immediately.

Ahmed said as he reached his home, he saw a crowd gathered outside along with Rescue 1122 vehicles.

The rescue workers were retrieving the victims from the well. Shaukat told Ahmed about the incident that his wife had attempted suicide along with her daughters.
