17 killed in accident in Karak

Seventeen people were killed in a truck-van collision on the Indus highway, near Shah Ghundi.

Seventeen people were killed in a truck-van collision on the Indus highway, near Shah Ghundi.


The van was on its way to Bannu from Rawalpindi when a truck rammed into it.


The deceased include two women and two children.


Of them, 13 bodies have been taken to District Headquarter Hospital while the others have been taken to Civil Hospital Kirk. Nine passengers have also been injured in the accident. They are under medical treatment at the District Headquarter Hospital.


Those in critical condition will be moved to Peshawar Hospital.
