An anti-terrorism court sentenced on Wednesday a man to 32 years of imprisonment, along with a fine, for involvement in attempted murder and police encounters.

The government lawyer told ATC-16 Eidan was a member of the 'white Corolla gang', which robbed travellers coming from Jinnah International Airport while posing as the police.

He said Eidan and his accomplices were flagged down by the police but they opened fire at the law enforcers. He added that one of the suspects, Babar, and a citizen had been shot in the exchange of fire.
