The country can only achieve its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through strong multi-stakeholder partnerships with a clear vision, common agenda and strong commitments.
This was stated by speakers during a workshop on ‘Synergising Partnerships for Environmental Sustainability’ organised by the World Wide Fund (WWF) Pakistan. WWF Pakistan Director General Hammad Khan said that it is time to explore linkages and to develop and maintain social partnerships. He emphasised the need for collecting and using scientific data in a solution-oriented approach and strong partnerships with communities.
WWF Pakistan ILES Manager Sohail Naqvi said that the traditional leather and textile industries are very resource-intensive.
