HYDERABAD:

Pakistan Cricket Board general manager Colonel (retd) Ashfaq Ahmed visited the Niaz Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday to review security and other arrangements for the next Pakistan Super League matches.

Hyderabad Commissioner Muhammad Abbas Baloch asked the retired colonel to schedule a PSL match or an international cricket match in Hyderabad’s stadium, where the last time a match was played was the one-day match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe in January 2008.

The Hyderabad Municipal Corporation handed over managing control of the stadium to the PCB over a decade ago with the latter promising renovation of the stadium, which is yet awaited.
