An anti-terrorism court sought on Tuesday a detailed report on the case property in an illegal weapons case registered against Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch, after it was told that weapons and ammunition seized from the accused's possession were burnt in a fire.
Giving his statement at Karachi Central Jail, a bomb disposal squad official, a witness in the case, informed the court that three RPG-7 rockets, six rifles and a hand grenade found in Uzair's possession had been deactivated.
At this, the court directed the IO to produce the case property- the weapons and ammunition seized from Uzair.
The IO told the court that the case property was gutted in a fire that broke out in the store room at Karachi City Court.
Adjourning the hearing, the court sought a detailed report on the case property from the IO.
