Sindh reports 518 Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

185 coronavirus patients recover

The coronavirus claimed three more lives in Sindh while another 518 infections were reported on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister's House, 9,273 Covid-19 tests were conducted between Monday and Tuesday and 518 new cases were detected. The provincial tally rose to 151,352 and the death toll reached 2,690, while the number of recovered patients stands at 140,997 as 185 more patients recovered from the disease, said CM Murad Ali Shah.

As many as 7,665 patients are under treatment for the virus in the province, told Shah. Of these, 7,328 are in home isolation, 333 at different hospitals and four at isolation centres, he said, adding that the condition of at least 298 patients is said to be critical with at least 32 shifted on ventilators.

The CM urged people to comply with SOPs and told that of the new cases, 409 were reported in Karachi, 26 in Hyderabad, Sukkur eight, Tando Muhammad Khan six, Larkana, Thatta, Umerkot and Naushehroferoze four each, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sujawal, Sanghar and Ghotki three each, Jacobabad, Jamshoro, Kambar and Matiari two each, and one each in Badin, Kashmore and Shikarpur.
