Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noorul Haq Qadri has strongly condemned sacrilegious caricatures recently published in France, saying that the government is already in touch with other Muslim countries on tackling the issue.
Qadri said this while addressing the National Miladun Nabi conference in the Mulagori area of Khyber tribal district on Sunday.
The minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan have written to all Islamic countries on this heinous act.
He added every Muslim has great respect for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and that no one will be allowed to target his personality. He said that the action taken by both the Muslim leaders was commendable and that they will never hesitate to make sacrifices in future to protect the character of Prophet (PBUH).
Qadri said the voices on blasphemy have been raised on the floor of the parliament while the streets of several countries are full of protest demonstrations against the French government.
The federal minister added that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) presented a beacon of light for humanity and that by following his teachings one can not only attain success in this world but also in the hereafter.
He said they can shed their blood for the sake of the Prophet (PBUH) respect.
The conference was attended by a large number of people including religious scholars such as Allama Mohammad Adnan Qadri.
