Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently embroiled in a bitter divorce with his estranged wife Aaliya. Over the course of the past few months, the two have traded shots with one another. Despite his public falling out with Aaliya, Siddiqui in a recent interview has said that he will fulfil all his responsibilities towards their children, reported Hindustan Times

“I genuinely can’t speak about my personal issues here. But yes, I hope that I fulfil all my responsibilities towards my kids, in every way possible. Main apne beti ko pyaar bohut karta hoon (I love my daughter a lot). But baki personal life ke baare mein main kuch nahi kehna chahta (I don’t want to say more about my personal life),” he was quoted as saying.

Back in May, Aaliya sent the actor a legal notice demanding a divorce and maintenance from him over issues related to their married life.

"I would not like to get into the details of the notice regarding what are the contents and what are the allegations, but let me tell you that the allegations are quite serious and those are very sensitive to Mr Siddiqui as well as his family members," Aaliya's lawyer said in a video message shared with Zee News.

The Gangs of Wasseypur actor's estranged wife had reportedly complained in a recent interview that she is unable to pay her children's school fees as Nawazuddin has stopped paying her the monthly allowance. The actor's lawyer has rejected such claims.

Siddiqui subsequently sent a legal notice to  Aaliya accusing her of defamation. The actor's notice to his estranged wife alleges "engaging in fraud, willful and planned defamation" and "slander of character", as per a report in Times of India.
