Army chief praises FWO's capacity building efforts for mega projects

Gen Qamar given detailed briefing on development schemes at headquarters of military's engineering firm, says ISPR

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday visited Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) headquarters and was given a detailed briefing on development projects undertaken by the military engineering company.

“[The] COAS expressed satisfaction over the progress and directed to ensure timely completion of projects of national importance,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoted Gen Qamar as saying.

 

He also appreciated the public-private partnership initiatives, saying that private sector must be "supported in greater national interest".

The army chief praised the organisation’s capacity building efforts for mega projects.

Earlier, on arrival, the COAS was received by Engineer-in-Chief Lieutenant General Moazzam Ejaz and Director General FWO Major General Kamal Azfar.
