PESHAWAR:

The annual Vintage and Classic Car Rally 2020 in the province will be held at the end of this week.

The eleventh edition of the event, jointly organised by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (K-PCTA) and Classic Land Rover, will see ancient and unique cars from the 1930s to 1970s, set off from the Khyber District on November 7 and drive to Khanpur on the edge of the province near the federal capital.

Vehicles which are expected to feature in the rally include vintage Mercedes, Ford, Chevrolet, Mustang, MG, Volkswagen, Austin Mini and others. Participants of the car rally come from all over the country including as far away as Karachi and elsewhere. They will first drive up the country to Multan, Lahore, Islamabad where they will be joined by other vintage and classic car riders before going to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

After setting off from Khyber, the convoy of vintage cars will first drive to the Services Club in Peshawar.
