PESHAWAR:

The Awami National Party has demanded the formation of a commission to probe the murder of its leaders and workers in terrorist attacks following a statement from Federal Interior Minister Brigadier (retired) Ijaz Shah.

Awami National Party (ANP) Provincial President Aimal Wali made the demand while addressing a public rally in Buner on Sunday.

Aimal further demanded that the interior minister resigns within 10 days, or else his party will stage a protest outside his office.

He said the ANP has always opposed the narrative of good and bad Taliban.

The ANP leader said they have also opposed the strategic depth policy and interference into Afghanistan’s internal affairs.
