RAWALPINDI:

The amendments in the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) 1908 would be enforced in the courts across the Rawalpindi division like the rest of Punjab from November 1.

All district and sessions judges in Punjab have been issued directions to ensure implementation on the modified laws.

Under new changes, the district and sessions judges would deploy administrator, trial judges, and mediators for reconciliation in different cases.

Rawalpindi District Judiciary Director General (DG) Muhammad Saeedullah has issued a circular to all district and sessions judges.

The new cases onward enforcement date would be referred to admin judge who would decide whether the petition required adjudication or not.

After hearing the parties in a petition, the case would be transferred to the trial courts.
