ISLAMABAD:

Law enforcement and security agencies (LEAs) conducted a mock, anti-terrorism exercise at the Islamabad International Airport (IIA) on Thursday.

Personnel from the Airport Security Force (ASF) and the Quick Response Force (QRF) took part in a drill conducted to check the preparedness of the agencies concerned with the security and emergency operations at the facility in case of a mishap.

The drill presumed that five terrorists had entered the IIA premises after which a security alert was issued.

The security personnel initially rushed the parking area with an armoured vehicle and other resources and start their operation.

They managed to take down all the five mock terrorists and saved the airport from destruction.
