RAWALPINDI:

Traders were shocked at an armed robbery at a store on Wednesday and demanded action against cops on patrol and security duty in Saddar.

Police however, failed to trace the robbers who looted the hardware store on a busy street in city centre. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed three armed robbers barge into a store, beat up customers and the shopkeeper.

The suspects looted millions of rupees at gunpoint and fled. The traders’ community expressed deep concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in the city and demanded Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar take notice of the situation. Police said they are trying to trace the robbers using CCTV footage.
