Veteran actor Shaan Shahid has come a long way since his big screen debut with 1990's Bulandi, to his upcoming action thriller Zarrar.
He's also had his reservations about the airing of Diriliş: Ertuğrul on PTV, albeit, Shaan has always promoted Pakistani entertainment. The actor has also never failed to express his love for his country, be it with his tweets, his films or now, with his upcoming song.
The Waar actor recently shared a snippet of singer Shafqat Amanat Ali crooning a song he penned for his country. Taking to Twitter yesterday, the actor wrote, "The love for Pakistan runs in my veins. It mixes in the ink of my pen and spreads in the voice of our legends."
The love for 🇵🇰 runs in my veins ..it mixes in the ink of my pen and spreads in voice of our legends . A love song for the country written by #shaanshahid and sung by #shafqatAmanatAli coming soon. In an earlier interview with Arab News, the Yalghaar star had shared his two cents on the ban on content produced by privately owned channels by PEMRA.
“These are private channels. You can’t control the content of private channels. They will make what they think is right,” he said. “But you’ve got a channel that’s beyond satellite."
The Operation 021 star went on to add that “If PTV was producing what the Prime Minister thinks should be produced... I want to see that content. I don’t know who’s doing the programming in PTV, but whoever it needs to wake up and do his job.”
