Street criminal held, stolen goods recovered

Further investigations are underway and police hope to apprehend his collaborators soon

ISLAMABAD:

The Ramana police have apprehended a suspected street criminal and recovered motorbikes, snatched mobiles and weapons from his possession, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday.

SP Saddar Sarfraz Virk had constituted a special team under the supervision of ASP Rana Abdul Wahab along with Ramana police station SHO SI Tariq Rauf, ASI Haider Ali Shaha and others. They managed to apprehend a suspected street criminal, identified as Manzoor, and recovered motorbikes, snatched mobiles phones and valuables from him.

During preliminary investigations, he allegedly confessed to his involvement in several incidents of theft in Ramana and its adjoining areas along with his accomplices. Further investigations are underway and police hope to apprehend his collaborators soon.

DIG Operations Waqaruddin Syed appreciated the overall performance of police and directed officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
