LAHORE: The Punjab government should stop supporting outlawed outfits, said Amna Buttar, a lawmaker of the Pakistan Peoples Party on Sunday.

Speaking in the provincial assembly’s session, Buttar said it was a wrong decision on the part of the Punjab government to allocate Rs8 million for Jamatud Dawa.

She added that it was unjust to have 13 ministerial posts vacant while the government is dependent on over 70 task forces.

She further said in her speech that in reality, justice was done by the PPP government which announced new NFC Award whereas the president relinquished his powers, giving them back to parliament.

Meanwhile provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah said that the government will move the High Court over the release of alleged terrorist Hijratullah.

Talking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly building after the session, the minister said the Punjab government is concerned about the acquittal of Hijratullah.

He added that the police arrested Hijratullah with a hand grenade on the day of attack on the Munawan police training centre.
