Punjab government has invited bids to install fix and moveable screens for displaying official prices of the items on sale.
The model bazaars will also get CCTV cameras for security of the people coming for shopping and the traders.
The two officers were suspended over directives issued by the National Assembly Standing Committee.
The Model Bazaar Management Committee (MBMC) has decided to use screens to display official rates in model markets to be established in 127 tehsils of the province.
Under the project estimated to cost Rs9 million to the government, the installation of fixed screens at all entry points for displaying rates while stationing of moveable ones inside the markets has been planned.
Besides this, the visitors will be provided shopping trolleys while the police and price magistrates would remain deployed in all bazaars.
