Family pays ransom to secure release of youth from kidnappers

Police have registered a case of the incident and started the investigation

RAWALPINDI:

A teenager was released by the kidnappers on payment of ransom worth Rs5 million by the family.

The student of intermediate second-year was abducted by unidentified suspects from the Saddar area. Zubair, a property dealer, informed the police that his son went to tuition centre by car but did not return home until evening.

The family got worried and started trying his cellphone and finally the call was attended. The suspects demanded Rs5 million worth of ransom to release the victim. The property dealer arranged the amount and the exchange took place at an undisclosed location in Islamabad. The victim has returned home. Police have registered a case of the incident and started the investigation.
