One dead, three injured in car crash

Rescue 1122 ambulance had also reached the site

A passenger was killed while three others were seriously injured when a car fell in to a gorge on Rawalpid-Mundra road. Adeel Sarwar, a journalist, was driving the car when suddenly a biker came in front of him. Adeel tried to avoid hitting the biker, but lost control of the wheel and the vehicle swerved off the road in to a ravine. All four people inside the car were injured. Punjab Highway Patrol Police and the City Traffic Police were first to reach the site and started rescue operation. Soon, the Rescue 1122 ambulance had also reached the site. However, Adeel’s father Ghulam Sarwar died on way to hospital. Adeel was rushed to Mundra Rural Health Centre and from there to Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi along with two women family members.
