Women shot, injured

RAWALPINDI:

Three women were injured after suspects fired at them after an altercation on recording the video of one of them without their consent.

One of the assailants was also injured by his accomplice.

Tanvir Butt told the Waris Khan police that he was at home when he heard a brawl outside. When he went outside, he saw his brother in an altercation with Nadeem, Saqlain Munna, Hasnain, and another unidentified man.

When the complainant asked the reason for the quarrel, he learnt that the suspects had allegedly filmed his sister. During the altercation, the girl slapped three suspects as well.

Locals intervened and the matter was settled. Later, the suspects allegedly called two armed motorcyclists who went to their house.

Meanwhile, Butt said Saqlain’s father, Maqsood, and another man named Hanif also came out and told the gunmen to shoot Butt’s family.

One of the motorcyclists fired shots in the air and then at the complainant’s mother and three sisters. Maqsood was also struck by a bullet.
