It seems that Hollywood actor and semi-retired WWE Superstar John Cena has taken his catchphrase, "You Can't See Me" too seriously. The master of thuganomics is now also a married man, reported E! News. The Trainwreck actor has tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh in secrecy.
According to E! News, Cena exchanged vows with the Canada native in Tampa on Monday, Oct. 12. Currently not much has been revealed about the secret ceremony, which was first reported by a wrestling blog called PWInsider.
Fans of the WWE star learned of his relationship with Shay in March 2019. The two were spotted on a date night in her hometown of Vancouver, Canada, but kept things low-key.
The romance was made fully public at the red carpet premiere of Playing With Fire in October 2019. Cena shared at the time, "What's truly special about this one is that, no matter what projects I'm involved in the future, this one will always have a special meaning because I got to film a special project and meet someone special."
Cena who is set to play the antagonist in the upcoming Fast and the Furious instalment, was earlier on involved in a long term relationship with fellow WWE Superstar Nikki Bella. The two were engaged with their relationship also roped in a high profile WWE storyline. Cena and Bella split in 2018, following which, the former started dating Shariatzadeh.
This is Cena's second wedding, he was previously married to Elizabeth Huberdeau from 2009 to 2012.
