ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has warned employees against running household errands during office time. FDE Director Administration Officer Ghulam Hussain on Monday visited the secretariat where the issue was brought in his notice that employees were either absent or left for homes without information before completing their duty hours. Hussain issued a notice warning errant employees and directed to implement the duty protocols. The circular stated that it has been noticed during the past few months that FDE employees were not completing their duty hours and taking holidays without prior notice to the related authority. He added that many workers have been observed leaving the office to run household errands. All such workers have been warned of a punitive action too. Further, the circular further emphasised the implementation on coronavirus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and to maintain a record of visitors. It was also instructed to enforce a system of appointments for meetings with officials.
