MPO mobilises 42 heavy machines

The authority said 42 heavy machines and vehicles of the department are working in the capital

ISLAMABAD:

On the directions of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed, the Machine Pool Organisation of the authority, which was recently repatriated from the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC), has mobilised around 42 pieces of machinery for various works around the city. This includes carpeting work on the Islamabad Highway. MPO’s heavy machinery is working across Islamabad to assist the repatriated environment directorate for beautification and landscaping work, sanitation directorate for disposal of garbage at dumping sites apart from the collection of garbage across the federal capital. The authority said 42 heavy machines and vehicles of the department are working in the capital without the support of contractors. This includes an asphalt mixing plant, six D-50 dozers, five D-80 dozers, two motor graders, a wheel loader, a DMT trailer, a paver machine, two road rollers, four tractors, an air compressor, a trolley, nine dumpers, two tippers, a water tanker, a diesel tanker, a bitumen tanker and three Shehzore trucks.
