A young man was found dead in Abdullah Pur, Canal Road, in the area of Mansoorabad. Police said on Saturday that some passers-by spotted the body lying alongside the Canal Road near Abdullah Pur and informed the area police. The police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary for postmortem. The deceased man was reportedly an addict and his death had apparently occurred due to the drug abuse. However, the cause of his death will be confirmed after the postmortem report. Further investigation to identify the deceased man and trace his family is underway, a police spokesman added.
