Boy strangled to death

A young boy was strangled to death while playing in Shadman Town on Saturday. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. According to Sharae Noor Jahan SHO Imdad Khawaja, the deceased, 12-year-old Basit, was strangled while trying to make a swing on an iron rod in his room. He said that Basit’s elder brother, who was with him in the room when the incident took place, ran to the kitchen to inform his mother but Basit had died by the time they arrived to rescue him.
