A speeding dumper truck rammed into several cars at Baloch Colony Bridge, leaving one person injured on Wednesday. The injured man was safely shifted from his car while angry citizens apprehended and beat up the truck driver. Upon arrival, the police took the driver, identified as Zeeshan Iqbal, in custody. According to Tipu Sultan SHO Sharafat Khan, four to five cars were damaged in the accident, while no casualties were reported. She added that the truck was also shifted to the police station and an investigation was launched, though the cause of the incident could not immediately be ascertained. The accident resulted in a traffic jam on the bridge, which extended for hours.
