KARACHI:

A kidnapped boy was recovered by officials of the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) during an operation near the Rohri railway station on Tuesday night. According to an AVCC spokesperson, the seven-year-old boy had been abducted from the jurisdiction of the Liaquatabad police on September 30. According to his father, the boy had gone to a nearby store but failed to return. The police had registered a case and launched the probe. Acting on a tip-off, the AVCC police raided the railway station in Rohri and rescued the boy. However, the kidnappers evaded arrest, said the spokesperson.
