ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started tax education awareness sessions in different educational institutes of Islamabad. The sessions are being held under the Letter of Understanding (LoU) signed between the FBR and the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), said a statement issued by the FBR on Tuesday. The Facilitation and Taxpayers Education Wing (FATE) of the FBR held the first awareness session in Islamabad Model College for Girls. In line with the vision of prime minister to promote tax culture and under the directives of Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood and FBR Chairman Muhammad Javed Ghani, a series of awareness sessions will be held by FATE in collaboration with the FDE in different educational institutes of Islamabad. FATE Chief Aisha Farooq said the purpose of organising these sessions was to promote the tax culture.
