The control room of Rescue 1122 Bahawalpur received 61,911 phone calls during September of which 4,899 calls were emergency related. The monthly report issued by Bahawalpur District Emergency Officer (DEO) Baqir Hussain on Friday revealed that the average time to reach the emergency spot was 7.30 minutes. A total of 3,083 medical emergencies, six incidents of drowning and 659 other rescue-related emergencies were dealt within September by Rescue 1122.
