One of Pakistan’s most respected and celebrated creative artists, Haseena Moin, has joined the RINSTRA Technologies Board of Advisors and is all set to work on two exclusive web-series for the platform, stated a press release.

One of the projects that Moin will be working on is a web-series on Breast Cancer Awareness; as a survivor of the debilitating disease herself, her message for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the form of the series is ‘Beat Cancer’.

RINSTRA is Pakistan’s first short-form digital media platform for on-demand streaming and for the creation of innovative, entertaining, thought-provoking, informative, and educational original content. It also provides entrepreneurship opportunities to emerging and established content creators in the field of film making, music videos, individual short videos, web-series, discussion shows and etc. in Pakistan and beyond.

Moin’s primary objective of joining the RINSTRA team is to advise the management and the board of the platform to improve the standard of creative writing in the country. She expressed her concerns with the current trends in television productions and emphasized that “there is a need to create more diversity in the thematic topics for dramas in Pakistan.”

“Our young minds need to learn creative writing techniques for the new mediums of storytelling. Empowering and educating our youth through storytelling is a very powerful and important objective for our nation-building. We must tell the Pakistani narrative to the world in the new forms and techniques,” Moin further elaborated.

Co-founder and Chairman of RINSTRA, Dr. Adil Akhtar expressed his pleasure at having Moin on board and said, “We are delighted to have Moin on our board of advisors. Her experience and thought leadership will be a source of inspiration and will benefit both RINSTRA and our youth for creating content that can put Pakistan on the international drama and production circuit.”

“In addition to advising, Haseena Moin will also be mentoring and guiding the young scriptwriters, dramatists, content creators, and digital storytellers on the technique and methodologies of good storytelling as well”, added Akhtar.

Moin is perhaps one of the most celebrated playwrights and scriptwriters to come out of Pakistan and has several accolades under her belt. These include the Pride of Performance award from the Government for her services to the performing arts in the country. She also holds the distinction of penning Pakistan’s first original script, Kiran Kahani, in the early 1970s.
