CDA twits IHC orders

IHC observed that it would not issue any order regarding the Capital Development Authority (CDA) as the civic body twists it and gives a new meaning to the words.

The observation came during the hearing of a case related to regulation of a CDA employee on Thursday. The case was presided over by the IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah.

Minallah remarked that whatever the order they may issue, the CDA starts issuing summaries that favour it and claim that the court directed them to do so.

The petitioner’s counsel said that it would be better if the court included him in the authority’s committee formed to oversee the matter. At this, the chief justice remarked that they would not issue any such order because the civic agency might misuse it too.
