KARACHI:

A man whose body was found near China Port in Shireen Jinnah Colony on Wednesday was murdered by his own son, investigation revealed on Thursday.

Yasir had reportedly killed his elderly father, Shahzad Gul, with a sharp object for refusing to let him marry the woman of his choice.

The police had earlier registered a case under Section 302/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code on Yasir's behalf.

However, when the case was investigated, no evidence could be found indicating the presence of any other person, apart from Gul and Yasir, at the crime scene.
