QUETTA:

Balochistan Health Secretary Dostain Jamaldini attended a seminar on Wednesday held in connection with the World Heart Day organised by the Pakistan Cardiac Society’s Quetta chapter at Civil Hospital. During the visit, he announced the construction of a modern heart hospital at a cost of three billion rupees near Nawan Killi. It is pertinent to note that the hospital is being constructed from a grant provided by the United Arab Emirates.

“70 per cent of the work stands completed.” He noted that a lot of work needs to be done to provide better health facilities all over Balochistan, especially when it comes to specialised treatment. Jamaldini maintained that it is the earnest desire of the government to provide the best form of health care in Balochistan. Head of Cardiology Department BMCH at SPH Quetta Jalaluddin Achakzai stated that a healthy heart means a healthy body and individuals should take special care of it before it’s too late.
