Robbers shoot citizen, flee with cash

Robbers, on a motorcycle, shot and injured a man in Gulshan-e-Hadeed on Tuesday. The robbers intercepted two motorcyclists, who were returning home after withdrawing money from their bank accounts, at their doorstep and held them at gunpoint. Meanwhile, a bundle of cash dropped to the ground and was picked up by the robbers. As they were fleeing with the cash, the citizens tried to catch hold of them. In return, the robbers opened fire, as a result of which one of the citizens, Waqar Hussain, 32, was injured. The robbers fled, leaving behind their motorcycle. Police have taken the robbers’ motorcycle into custody. According to police, the robbers were able to take away cash worth more than Rs100,000 from the citizens.
