Another dengue case confirmed

RAWALPINDI:

Health authorities on Sunday confirmed that another dengue case had been confirmed in the garrison city.

A spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department said that apart from the case in Rawalpindi, one case was also confirmed in Toba Tek Singh while some 602 suspected cases of dengue were reported across the province during the past 24 hours.

These patients are currently under surveillance and are being tested to confirm whether they are infected or not. The official further said that since January, some 62 patients have been confirmed with the virus in the province. Of these, 56 patients have been discharged after making a complete recovery while six remain under treatment.
