Operators say they are flooded by prank calls, making it difficult to serve genuine complaints

RAWALPINDI:

People should not make prank calls to Rescue 1122 emergency service as it wastes the time of responders, besides making officials lax while responding to real emergency calls. District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain said that most of the calls recived at Rescue 1122 were irrelevant. He said the service rescued 26,630 victims of emergencies in different operations conducted in Rawalpindi during this year. Rescue-1122 Rawalpindi maintaining an average response time of seven minutes responded 25,275 emergency calls received in Rawalpindi and other tehsils of the district and rescued 26,630 victims of emergencies.
