Jhelum health official fired

Commissioner further said that unnecessary delays in development projects will not be tolerated at any cost

The Rawalpindi commissioner on Thursday terminated the services of a public health official in Jhelum for poor performance. Rawalpindi Commissioner Muhammad Mehmood visited the district on Thursday where he chaired a meeting at the Jhelum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office. He ordered the termination of Jhelum Public Health Official Afzal Tarar over poor performance. The commissioner further said that unnecessary delays in development projects will not be tolerated at any cost. During the meeting, Jhelum DC Rao Pervaiz briefed the commissioner that several development projects are currently underway in the district. He informed that some 20 schemes related to highway and roads, 22 of the building department, 12 of public health, and others were currently in progress. The commissioner reviewed the progress of the online portal projects and directed the officials to complete the work according to set targets with no compromise on quality.
