AVLC busts motorcycle lifters’ gang

Baldia Town, Korangi and Liaquatabad divisions of the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell busted on Thursday a gang of motorcycle thieves and recovered four motorcycles stolen in Saeedabad, Rizvia Society, Zaman Town and Gulistan-e-Johar.

The arrested persons include Sumair, Saleem, Farooq, Fahad, Waqar and Ghulam Mustafa alias Abdul Ghafoor. According to AVLC officials, the gang members, led by Mustafa, are repeat offenders, and usually steal motorcycles to sell them off in Balochistan.

Besides, they have been involved in the sale of stolen vehicle’s spare parts to mechanics and scrap dealers.
